Atze Kerkhof Is Back - Look Out World The Alien Is Back

I recently interviewed Atze Kerkhof, who is arguably one of the best sim racers on earth.  In that interview I had plenty to ask a known great sim racer, but had no idea that it would turn into one of the most interesting interviews of my life.  And after 2 hours Atze had changed my atttitude towards sim racing.

Following that interview Atze had returned to sim racing, and is currently making a new charge up the rankings.  Having lost his pro license with the time off, he is now racing his way back into the pro series.

In this interview I talk to him about his return to sim racing, and how it is coming along.  We also talk a little bit more about his real job as a driving trainer or instructor, working with some of the best names in all of motorsport.

If you missed the original interview it can be seen here:

This interview is much shorter in length but sets up the future and our ability to talk to Atze more as he works his way back into racing.

This is a really interesting interview.  Atze is in this amazing part of his life, actually coaching possible future F1 champions on the simulators, while perhaps wondering what it would be like to be in the position of his students.  It could be bittersweet on hand, but at the same time, it could be a terrific learning experience.  It can't hurt to be around F1 drivers and F1 teams, and considering none of this was possible a few years ago, it must be seen as terrific progress.  Wishing the best for Atze and his future.

Hey Shaun:

I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.

Thanks!

Sean,
I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?

Great review, you've convinced me to buy one of these for my rigsmile

One question, do you think the mounting brackets could be inverted (and swapped left to right) to mount it from the top?
