BasherBoards CPX Adapter Quick Review

With the Forza series recently coming to PC, many of us were left out of the fun due to the fact that multiple inputs were not supported.  But thanks to the BasherBoards CPX Adapter, that is no longer the case!

Finally, a solution for the small number of PC games that do not support multiple inputs.  The BasherBoards CPX Adapter is simple to install, and easy to use.  In my case, I am using a Thrustmaster T300 wheel base, with Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals.  Being a Playstation 4 owner, I was extremely excited to finally get to play the Forza series, especially since now I could play on my Obutto Ozone rig on my PC.  That excitement turned to disappoinment when I realized neither Forza Apex, nor Forza Horizon 3 supported multiple inputs.  So I ordered a the CPX Adapter from BasherBoards, and it showed up via USPS a few days later.

For $55.00 (USD), you receive the CPX Adapter, and all necessary cables (with the exception of the PS2 cable, which came with my Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals).  Installation is a breeze, and the instructions were easy to follow.  You simply plug the CPX adapter into your PC via USB.  Plug your wheel into your PC via USB, and plug your pedals into the CPX Adapter with the PS2 cable, and finally, use the supplied cable which comes out of the pedal input on your wheel, and into the CPX Adapter.  All of the connections are clearly labled, and easy to connect.  This is a well designed piece of engineering, and it is well built, out of a high quality plastic.

There are two small dials on the CPX Adapter, which allow you to adjust the brake sensitivity, and the brake rumble seperately.  There is nothing more you need to do to get the CPX Adapter up and running.  It fools your PC into thinking you are using the stock Thrustmaster pedals.  The CPX Adapter can also be used with the PS3, PS4 and XB1.  I can't wait to play GT Sport on my rig when it finally launches (hopefully, sometime later this year).

I don't think there is much more that needs to be said about the CPX Adapter from BasherBoards.  It simply works, and thats exactly what you want when you purchase a product like this.

Please leave any questions or comments below, and I will attempt to answer them in a timely fashion.  Thats all for today, and as Shaun says "I'll see you on the track!"

Do you know if this works with shifters. I'd like to use my clubsport shifter with my TX wheel and t3pa pedals.

Unfortunately no, it does not work with shifters.

While I can't imagine wanting an Hyundai interior, it is very well done and looks incredible. Well done.

I like War Thunder, it has some real decent triple screen graphics and sound for flying the airplanes. I prefer the bombers at Arcade Battle rating, but some of the radial engined fighters are a lot of fun too. Other than that, I am an avaid truck driver driving a lot in American Truck Simulator and European Truck Simulator 2. They even have some really good multiplayer for both games, the ETS2 has a Winter mod built in, it looks like Winter with snow on everything and falling. Both games even have a short range "cb radio" that works in line of sight, you just set the microphone in the game and then it goes to a hot mike and people can hear you, but if you get out of sight, you can't hear each other. Now I wish other games would get the technology and incorporate it.
