Formula SAE - Introduction to Sim Racing

If you have been around sim racing or real life racing long enough, you have probably heard of Formula SAE but have never seen a race or coverage of it before.  Formula SAE stand for Society of Automotive Engineers and the Formula SAE is a competition between schools based on a developing a fictional racecar based on the strict rules set before them.
There are many people in engineering programs around the world that participate in the Formula SAE and you will even find SAE type cars in a few sims out there.  And chances are if you know a bunch of sim racers that you know someone that is doing in this now.
I have a Facebook friend, who is also a die hard sim racer, who is in a Formula SAE program and he recently did a demonstration explaining sim racing to his group and how it parallels parts of the Formula SAE program.
This video is part one of two of this demonstration by Faisal Kieran Forde to that group.

Hey Shaun:

I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?

Great review, you've convinced me to buy one of these for my rigsmile

One question, do you think the mounting brackets could be inverted (and swapped left to right) to mount it from the top?
