Hardware Review: Ricmotech Button Boxes

In the world of sim racing we are always on the search for more realism, more immersion and better gear to make our hoe cockpits feel like a real race car.  One thing that you will find in all race cars is some form of an electronic panel to handle the controls of the car not include on the wheel.  In the case of sim racers this job is done by a button box.

Button boxes come in all sort of varieties.  You will find small ones, large ones, fancy ones, you might even find some with lights and whistles.  This is what makes each button box unique.

In the case of the button boxes made by Ricmotech they have their own unique way of making a button box and the results are extremely realistic to the real life counterpart.  In this review we take a very deep and detailed look at 3 different boxes made by Ricmotech.

The first box is the C22 which is a panel style box that looks like a center dash from a car.  It features 36 functions and is programmable for optimum usage.  Then come the R series boxes and we look at the R22 and the R20.  These two boxes are very similar to each other but have slightly different input options.  All 3 boxes are made of metal and available in black or silver.

In this review we put the boxes through their paces.  We talk about mounting and installation and then really see how they work in game.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! â€‹Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

Hey Shaun:

I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
