If you started to make a list of the best sim racers on earth, Atze Kerkhof is likely to be near the top of the list.  As a member of Team Redline Atze has proven himself in nearly every sim there is.  He is a world champion, a world record holder, a GT Academy finalist and has raced against the best sim racers on earth.  Atze rise to the top in sim racing was a relatively short trip and after talking with him you can tell that his mental approach is a big part of his success.  In this interview we talk about Atze's life before sim racing as a speed skater.  We also talk about the methods he learned in training and how they apply to sim racing or real life racing.  We also talk quite a bit about what makes a great sim racer and the approach that a pro takes to improvement.  Then we also talk in great detail about the F3 test day that Atze got a chance to do with Van Amersfoort racing and the work that he has done with that team and its drivers.

To help you find certain parts of the interview I have created some time stamps to parts of the show:

1:15  About Atze
2:39 Speed Skating
5:40 Beginning of sim racing for Atze
13:05 Atze talks about World Championship level racing
23:11 We talk about his switch to the Drivers World Championship on iRacing
43:25 Atze discusses working with Van Amersfoort racing
57:13 Atze talks about his F3 Test Drive
1.26:12 Atze compares professional simulators to real life driving
1.31:55 From Skater to Sim Racer to Driving Coach, atze talks about his new career
1.40:52 The conversation comes back to sim racing and the topic of its place in motorsports
1.42:34 We talk about the Dutch GT Academy, Atze was a finalist
1.47:23 A quick opinion from Atze on the latest sims
1.53:54 Shaun asks Atze where he gets his motivation and drive

Thank you much guys.  Atze is such a great inspiration and for anyone who is ever sittting on their couch and wondering why the world isnt giving you what you want, perhaps you need to be a little bit more like Atze.  This guy grabs life by the horns and works for what he wants out of life.

This interview gave everyone a chance to understand how a top sports performer approaches the goals of becoming number one. Not only in the real world but also the virtual world.
I enjoyed this very much, the interview was done extremely professional.
This young man will do very well in anything he decides to put his mind too.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! â€‹Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
