The Scent of Dreamz

Racing drivers, racing fans, racing teams and even the governing bodies of racing have always had a place in their heart for people in need. You can see this on a large scale with a Victory junction Gang or The Jeff Gordon Foundation building hospitals. On the smaller scale you might see sim racing league members all come to the aid of a fellow racer in trouble with financial or emotional support, or maybe even the needed pieces to get back to racing.

Racing Dreamz is one of those types of charities. Racing Dreamz focuses their attention to children who face life problems like disabilities, illnesses or economic troubles and offer them inspiration through racing. Racing Dreams uses racing various different Karts and racing sims to rebuild the self esteem of these children as they learn to drive karts and elevate their skills. The distraction of driving being a perfect recipe to remove the worries of normal day to day life for them.

As with most charities they are built upon donations from people with similar concerns and who enjoy the rewards that programs like these give back to the communities. Racing Dreamz has been built upon those type of donations and on the back of the people involved in the program itself.

Another way of raising funds for Racing Dreamz they have produced some scented candles to enhance the sim racing or man cave experience. These candles scents will place you trackside as your room will take on the aroma of the local track. Racing Dreamz sent me a set of three candles that go for a 20 dollar donation towards the charity. Each one had a different scent designed around a gearheads appeal for racing smells. The kits come with 3 candles, Fill'er Up with Ethyle, Racing Oil, and 1st Place Exhaust. They also have other flavors available on request.

Now fear not, when you burn the candle your room is not going to actually fill up with exhaust. But it will take on a light scent of exhaust from a car running racing gas. The scents themselves are actually fairly light and give you a hint of scent in those directions. The 5 oz cans come wrapped in a tire tread type design look cool on a trophy shelf or bookcase dedicated to racing.

You know I have said the thing missing is the smell of the fuel, oil burning rubber and exhaust...

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

Hey Shaun:

I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.

Thanks!

Sean,
I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
