It can be hard to figure out a new car and track combination each week.  In this series of videos by The Simpit, Shaun Cole will go after the iRacing Nascar Truck Series "Fixed Setup" division 3 battle.

Each week we will start things off with a track drive to learn the racing line and a qualifying run in preparation of this weeks racing.  The second video of the week will be a recap of the races that were run that week, and how the points payed out for the season rankings.  We will also look for mistakes, and the well done moments that we can learn form each week.

This week is the first race of the season at Texas Motor Speedway.  We take a quick look at what to look out for as we search for a fast driving line in preparation of a qualifying run that we will break down and look at.

In the future we look to have this video out sooner for those looking to use it in preparation for this weeks race.

Yeah, Shaun where did you get the app for the gauges on your screen in iRacing. I have triples and would like to be able to move my view up closer to the windshield and see some gauges.

I would love to try oval racing myself. Last time I tried I was plagued with many of the same issues mentioned in the beginning of your video.

Disclaimer - I am not a pro oval racer or anywhere near that level.  This video is for the purpose of demonstration of education to those who are struggling with this car and track combination.
I purposely picked the iRacing Nascar Truck fixed series based on the participation level of the series.  It is one of the most popular of all and with the fixed setup it makes it easy for all to run there.  It also attracts a very broad spectrum of talent levels which can make for interesting racing at times.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! â€‹Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

Hey Shaun:

I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.

Thanks!

Sean,
I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
