iRacing Trucks - Week 3 Homestead - Racing Recap and Points Breakdown

This is a mid season recap of my first 3 weeks in the iRacing NASCAR fixed truck Series.  Just like the previous episodes we take a look at Homestead Miami, the venue for the third race of the 6 race season.  We start things off with a qualifying run to see a proper line, and then recap each of the weeks races including looking at the points from each race.  We are always looking for the good and bad moments from each race in an attempt to become better drivers.

With this being the mid point of our season, we then take a very detailed look at the overall points and how they were awarded each week.  We break down the irating, the safety rating and also the championship points.

And to finish off the show Shaun reflects on some of the things that were learned in the first three weeks.  He also looks for areas that can be improved upon moving forward.

I am so glad that people are learning from this series.  I rally wanted to make sure that this was about learning more then about me racing and it seems that it is working and people are finding easier to ATTACK a series of their choice be it road or oval.

There is still so much more to cover in this process and we will keep them coming.

Great job on this Shaun. Nice to see you go through everything in racing this series. We can all benefit from this, and I have finally learned how points and iRating are figured! I like what you have done in the past on ISR, and especially now on the SimPit. Really helped me progress as a driver since I started iRacing back in 2012. Thank you!

While I can't imagine wanting an Hyundai interior, it is very well done and looks incredible. Well done.

I like War Thunder, it has some real decent triple screen graphics and sound for flying the airplanes. I prefer the bombers at Arcade Battle rating, but some of the radial engined fighters are a lot of fun too. Other than that, I am an avaid truck driver driving a lot in American Truck Simulator and European Truck Simulator 2. They even have some really good multiplayer for both games, the ETS2 has a Winter mod built in, it looks like Winter with snow on everything and falling. Both games even have a short range "cb radio" that works in line of sight, you just set the microphone in the game and then it goes to a hot mike and people can hear you, but if you get out of sight, you can't hear each other. Now I wish other games would get the technology and incorporate it.
